Lynksys Issue

Hi everyone there, is nice to get back. Well, I have an issue trying to
connect a Linksys BEFW11S4 with Windows Vista. It seems that the wireless LAN
can´t be connected to the Windows Vista Client.

Does anyone knows what would be happening?, I'll appreciate so much your
posts.

Make sure you have the latest firmware from Linksys.
I have the same router and it seems to work fine.
But it could be version 1, version 2, etc are not compatible with Vista.
Apparently it's not an unusual problem.

You can try this command at the Command Prompt.

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable

Is this card part of a laptop?

Had a similar problem with a DLink router this week. It took a while but
tech support talked me through changing several settings on the router which
solved the problem. Sorry I can't relate which ones because I wasn't taking
notes but I would suggest a call to tech support may be the fastest way to
resolve your issue.

First, thanx a lot guys for your time, I'll try to work with your
suggestions. I have a the Version 4 of this Linksys model; it appears that in
datasheet only supports up to XP OS, however outside the box, it's marked
with Windows Vista logo.

Yes Sir, the wireless card is part of the laptop, I've got no problem with
the wired one, but I detected that both, Linksys and Wireless Interface
(laptop) are not talking by the same protocol (something like 802.11n Vs.
802.11b).

Well, time and time again, people that have problems with a laptop, Vista,
and wireless have found out that the wireless card on the laptop was the
issue. I suggest that you find someone with a standalone USB wireless card
and plug it into the computer and see if the problem follows.

And did you try to issue the NETSH command to see what would happen with the
wireless connection?
