Mail tab of Windows Live Today

Hi,
I have a problem with Windows Live Messenger 8.1.0178. I can't view my
emails in Mail tab of Windows Live Today. Do you have the same problem?

When I try it, I see a momentary flash of my default email client splash
screen, as if it were being started, then it disappears immediately without
the log-in screen. This is Pegasus Mail v.4.41. I expect that there may be a
registry hack to fix this; don't know if I have the time to play with it.

BTW, is your default email client MS Outlook Express? Is this with a non-MSN
Hotmail Passport account?

The reason for my final questions is that using a Windows Live Mail (former
MSN Hotmail) account with Live Messenger *and* Live Mail Desktop (Beta),
clicking on the mail tab invokes WLMDb, and takes me straight to the Inbox
of that account.

Yes, I have Outlook Express as my default email client, and non-MSN
Hotmail Passport accounts are set in Outlook Express.

Since your Passport account is not in the 'hotmail.com', or 'msn.com'
domain, I suspect that there is some kind of problem with invoking the mail
client for a non-Hotmail account. I don't know, yet, how to fix it...

When I login to Windows Live Messenger, I use a Hotmail account, but
non-Hotmail accounts are set in OE.

The issue with the Mail tab of Windows Live Today is known and a fix is
currently being worked on.

This feature has been turned off temporarily for security reasons.
This i came to know from MSN Messenger Technical support.

Now the message displayed in Mail tab of Windows Live today in messenger has
been changed to

"Hotmail is not available on this site at this time
Please Click here to go to Hotmail"

So its still being worked upon, but message is better than earlier one.
