mailto: not working in Vista

Hi I am using FF as my main browser and when I click on to a contact
"mailto:" link "IE" opens up with a popup saying

"Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not
properly installed"

This is also the case when I click on the same link using "IE"

"Windows Mail" IS shown as the default Mail

Any pointers

Start | Default Programs | Associate a file type or protocol with a program
Scroll down near the bottom and make sure the MAILTO protocol is set to
Windows Mail.
