I bought the HP Pavilion dv9000 laptop used. The gentleman I bought it from
had an evaluation copy of Windows 7 on it. I bought upgraded memory so that
I could install Adobe Master Collection and it installed just fine. Then I
had to buy from HP Vista restore CD because my evaluation of Windows 7 ran
out. Windows updater says that I have 86 updates at 555 MB's however when I
hit update the timer shows like it is updating but nothing is downloading.
Also and this one is huge as this is why I have a computer, When I tried to
re-install Adobe Master Collection it says that I have to upgrade my
operating system to 64 bit. THE PROBLEM IS THIS COMPUTER IS 64 BIT!! Please
help I don't know what to do.

The computer (CPU) may well be 64bit but the Operating System must also be
64bit. It sounds like you got the 32bit Vista DVD from HP. Go back to HP
and get the 64bit version of Vista.

Return the computer and get your money back.
