Installed and in the process of testing. As much as it will twist the
shorts of the fanboy crowd there seems to be noticeable improvement in
file transfer speed.

While the earlier fixes I mentioned several times in the past helped
it seems Microsoft finally admitted and further tweaked the files that
address this issue.

According I am happy to report moving two batches of files, one a
little over 2.5 GB and another a little less than 10 GB, on average
now move internally between two physical hard drives on my system at
46 MB per second and 44.6 MB a second (averaged) respectively.

Prior to any fixes or patches average speed were as low as 18 MB a
second and at times dropping as low as 1 or 2 mb a second.

From the article:

"Please note: These fixes break all current methods of bypassing driver
singing requirements except the good old F8 during boot (that you have
to do every single time you start vista)"

Driver "singing"?

Obviously you use Ubuntu and have never heard a driver sing. If you get
into the 20th Century, you would know that!!!!

Indeed. My drivers sing me to sleep every night. Just another Vista
bonus!

Why do you care if he doesn't? Frankie, you're always such a total
doofus.

BTW, are you just too dumb or too lazy to spell 'probably'?

Your grammar sucks. You should have said: You don't have, not you
have. You being the fool you are implied 'he has' and will 'never get'
in the same sentence. If they ever hand out awards for being the all
time putz in all recorded history, you'll be at the head of the line.

Take your nyahh! nyahh! childishness outside to the playground.

ON TOPIC:
Has anyone installed those two patches?
If so, what were the observed results?
