I'm switching back from FF. I can't find where to tell IE7 it should be the
default. Help please.

Also, is there any compelling reason to switch to IE8?

Thanks... Bob

In Internet Explorer ...

Tools Menu - Internet Options

Click "Programs" tab

Top item is "Default web browser"
Click on "Make Default"

You post using OE in WinXP SP3, so...

1a. Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Set Program
Access and Defaults | Click on the downward-pointing arrows to the right of
the configuration that's already checked | Browser: Select "Internet
Explorer" here (not "Use my current...").

1b. Now check your settings here: IE Tools | Internet Options | Programs |
Default web browser.

If no joy, see:

2b. Hyperlinks do not work in Outlook Express after you upgrade to IE7
[and/or IE8]
