Make the Sidebar hide and appear when the mouse goes over it.

You can setup the taskbar to be hidden and appear when you put your mouse at
the bottom of the screen. I was hoping that I could do the same with the
Sidebar. It is very useful, but I don't want it permanently on top of
everything, but haven't it below everything is annoying as well. It would be
cool if it where hidden and appeared when you put your mouse on the wall of
the monitor that the sidebar was on.

Is there any shortcut for brining up the sidebar? Like a Alt + X shortcut?

The Side Bar help offers this:
To close Sidebar
Closing Sidebar won't close detached gadgets that are on your desktop.

Right-click Sidebar, and then click Close Sidebar.

To open Sidebar again, right-click the Sidebar icon in the notification
area of the taskbar, and then click Open.

Not quite a keyboard short cut, but what the hey...

Double clicking on the taskbar icon will open it...
