Malicious software removal Tool Error occurred.. help..

Hello,

I installed Malicious software removal Tool through Window Update. But
mrt.log tells me that it has error which is

MemScanGetImagePathFromPid failed
Error Code: 0x8004

So I have been trying to fix this error but coudln't locate where startup
script or logon script in my XP. Where is it?

also, to fix this error, I need "speed.exe". Where can I download it from?

The tool cannot scan a process. This error is typically caused by a process
that was recently started or shut down.
Run the tool again. Wait at least five minutes after you restart the
computer and before you run any other programs.
