malicious software removal tool for Jan. 2005

I received the malicious software removal tool update today for Jan 2005
through Auto Update. I do not use the tool so I went to Windows Update to
hide the update as I have done with the others. It does not appear in my
current list and does NOT appear in my Hidden lists. How can I choose to hide
this update and why are we receiving an update for Jan. in March??

The tool is updated and released each month so the tool used today would
have been the March version.
There is really nothing to use, the tool runs, does the job and then leaves,
FAQ on the below link.

Since the tool does not install and has already been run, there is nothing
for you to hide.
Since it does not install, it is nowhere on your computer other than the
log:
C:\Windows\debug\mrt.log
