I bought an HP notebook that came preinstalled with a trial version of
Office 2007. Well, I never been to activate it --never used it at all- and
now it's expired. What I really want to do is send and receive Faxes and it
seems I read somewhere this was possible with Office 2007. WTF?

More of a question for an office newsgroup. However, now that it's expired,
it's time to pay the piper and by a copy.

Nothing to do with Vista, but if you want to use functions of Office 2007,
you have to buy a license, you can't use something you didn't pay for, I
don't see how you can think you got hosed?

Um, yes you can use Office 2007 without paying for it:

http://thepiratebay.org/search/office 2007/0/99/300

I would recommend http://www.openoffice.org/ though.

I won't even click on the link but there you go promoting piracy. Too
bad someone can't come to your place and steal your lively hood.

You don't believe a company should be able to charge for their products?
You sure are an IDIOT.

If you want to use Office you'll have to pay for it, as others have
said. There are alternatives. Open Office (www.openoffice.org) is a
free, open source office suite with loads of functionality. And
low-cost, even free, fax programs are available. Google for them.

What are you afraid of? Oh, right, you're using Windows and surfing the
Net can be dangerous for you Windows users.

I recommended Open Office, dumb ****.

Too

It's spelled livelihood, dumb ****.

Oh, they do. I do NOT recommend piracy. I was just correcting the poster
who said that one *had* to pay to use Office 2007. You then exercised
your right to post another leap of logic for all of us to laugh at.

The irony!

You REALLY must be ****ing stupid. You recommended a site that promotes
piracy. You DID post the link didn't you? What an IDIOT. You don't
even remember what the hell you posted. You are probably so high on
HASH you can hardly type. NO wonder why you can't drive. You are
always stoned.

Never said I was an English major you retard. So I can't spell. BFD.
I still make a good living, unlike yourself who has to rely on the
government for handouts and public transportation to get your stoned ass
around town.

Well if you don't recommend piracy you IDIOT, then don't post links to
where you can get it. I know you probably don't understand that concept
so print this out and take it to a responsible adult who can explain it
to you. Please allow 4 to 6 hours for that information to sink in to
your drug infested head.

Because in previous versions of Windows being able to send and receive faxes
was pretty much a given. Now I am supposed to upgrade for the capability. It
would be cheaper just to buy a fax machine. Thankfully I have a machine with
XP in the same room. This still sucks though.
