How to manage Windows Update?

Hi,

My company have recently upgrade from NT Server to 2003 Standard Server.

Right now, we are still planning the group policy. But in the mean time, I
am asked to manage windows update.

Could someone tell me where I could get info on tools and software to manage
Windows Update (2000 and XP) from Server 2003? Is it Software Update Services
? Is that the tools? This is kind of urgent, because right now, I need to
manually go to each machine and do a Windows Update (is costing both times
and data we're downloading). Please do not use short hand when replying this
post, I know nothing about server.

Yes, if you want to use something "free", Software Update Services (SUS)
is what you want to look into.
