Yes, you reinstall Windows using the recovery CD shipped
with IBM Thinkpad.
Actually this is the second time I recovered my Laptop.
It worked fine for the the first time, I can successfully
downloaded and applied this update.
But this time, it did not.
I've tried many times. After I recovered the machine, I
go to windowsupdate to update. And it can not be applied.
Then I installed the SP2, and tried to update it again.
Oops, it failed again and again.
I'm sure that MS VM is installed. Coz, I key in
the "jview", it does give some output such as the version
and available options.
