Manual updates?

Hello, I have just downloaded and installed a manual XP update through the
Microsoft download page. The update seemed to install correctly. I have just
went into my Windows update section and checked my update history. There does
not seem to be a record of the update I manually installed. It was a Windows
securtiy update. Do manual updates show up in the update history?
