Manual Windows Updates

Is there a way to download Windows updates and hotfixes and burn them to a CD
without using any additional software like WUS?

Hi Dan,

I'm not going to be too much help to you, I have been asking that same
question for over a year now.
I understand that SP's, Security Updates etc. can be downloaded as a self
extracting cabinet, as can IE6 and other programmes
I also understand that the fetures you need to build a self extracting file
can be down loaded from MS.
However - as yet I do not know what features you need to download, to build
a self extracting cabinet - nor do I know how to download into the self
extracting cabinet.
I have again today 21/02/06 posted the question Win 2K SP4 as a self
Extracting Cabinet.
Would suggest we keep an eye out for one another and advise accordingly.
N.B. History - others have also requested same information to no avail.
