Manually Installing Updates

I need to installed Windows 2003 SP2 on my machine. However, the current C:\
partition is very small and any attempts to cleanup the drive and free up
some space don't result in enough disk space to do the download and install.
I currently have ~600MB of space.

What I would like to do is download the service pack to a different location
where I do have enough room and then install it.

How might I go about this?
