I have been having trouble with my equipmennt. first my keyboad went bad then
my mouse decided not to work and now my printer won't print. Is this a thing
happening or could it be somebody plugged everything into a heavy duty
pretection.

I'm not sure what you mean. If someone plugged everything into a heavy duty
surge suppressor, a circuit breaker/fuse should open/blow if overload is the
problem. Then everything plugged in to the suppressor would lose power.

Can you tell us more about what is happening?

As a wild guess, I'd say that all that stuff is plugged into USB and
Liz's USB is failing.

OTOH, maybe she plugged everything into one USB hub. That is a bad
idea...
