All the major computer manufactures use a procedure called System Locked Pre
Installation Or OEM 2.0 Activation to Pre Activate their Computers they sell
and that keeps the Operating System tied to the Motherboard Bios only and
none of the Hardware. With a System Lock Pre Installation you can change all
the hardware in your computer without ever having to activate your operating
system. If you buy a new computer and never have to enter the Product Key
when you set your computer up for the first time then you are using a
computer that is Locked to the Bios and not the Hardware. If you change your
motherboard you will not be able to use you OEM Operating System or Recovery
Disk even if it is in the same tower you bought with it. You have to buy a
Motherboard that is the same from the Computer Manufacture that sold the
computer like Dell or HP. You can buy from good Computer Store OEM Copies of
Vista and Windows XP but they come with their own Product Keys and
Certificate Of Authentic Label's to affix to the Tower. You should never buy
copies of Windows Vista off the Internet in ISO Files or even download free
copies because they make you very unsecure on the Internet because you do no
know what was loaded on that copy as Original OEM's or Purchased OEM's or
even Retail Versions are much safer to have than those ones people can find
on the Internet. If people here do not believe Computer Manufactures Lock
the Operating Systems to the Bios then do a Google or Yahoo search and look
up System Locked Preinstallation there are over 33'800 articles on that
subject so quit lying to make you look good. All that shows is how stupid
and dumb you are.

Looks like you are in lots of legal trouble. What you should do is contact
Alias and he will set you up with Ubuntu. That way you will never break
another computer "law" again. You won't be able to do any productive work,
but that is what Ubuntu is for.
