Map storage card as drive on desktop?

I'm having trouble finding software that will allow me to write directly
from the desktop to the storage card in my Axim30. I've got MightySync which
lets me specify files to move, but it seems like there ought to be a way to
"map" the card as a drive when it's being sync'd.

I've tried to google for this, but anything with "map" invariably turns out
a zillion road-mapping programs.

Thanks-

I'm not aware of any such programs - you may want to buy an SD reader
(USB), which are relatively inexpensive and much faster than going
through ActiveSync.

I'm not sure I follow exactly what you are trying to do, but if it is just
to read/write to a memory card from your PC then use a memory card reader,
not via your ppc/activesync. It's faster and works for large files which can
fail when transferring via activesync. Card readers are inexpensive now.

Oh- and the card appears as a drive in Explorer if that's what you mean by
'mapping'.

Rob: Thanks for the info. The reason I wanted to do it through ActiveSync
was that it would be handy to download updates from my FrontPage website
that way. I've got a card reader, no issue there. Just thought... well,
let's just say I'm learning about the limitations of ActiveSync etc. I had
figured it might be similar to a conventional card-reader transfer. Live &
learn!

Thanks again-

No kidding their cheap- $20 for a 9-in-1 USB2 unit these days. Price isn't
the issue; rather, the convenience of not having to carry extra stuff. Not a
big deal though, and I'm sure I can get a Type-I or II SD card reader.
