Hi I was wondering if anyone else had this problem: On May 6 windows pushed
an update to vista to my computer and my daughter’s. We both have Sony
VAIOs. On Wednesday May 7, 2008 (the next day after the update) both of our
computers would freeze up whenever we clicked on anything. It would take 2-5
minutes for the computers to respond. Everything would “not responding” our
memory and CPU usage was off the charts. I was in VA and she was in TX. I
tried to system restore day by day back as far as I could go, no help. I had
to reinstall t.he operating system, sucks. Now I have new updates and I am
afraid to install the. Any suggestions?

Sincerely.

Tom

Tip: Temporarily disable real-time protection by your anti-virus and/or
anti-spyware applications (e.g., CounterSpy, Spysweeper, Spybot, AVG
Anti-Spyware) and/or any third-party firewall (e.g., ZA) before attempting
to install the update(s). If you disable a third-party firewall, do NOT
connect to the internet without having the Windows Firewall enabled!
