I just recently purchased a new laptop... i tried to same a little money by
just getting vista basic. Now I want the added features of home premium. I
have the required 128 dedicated memory and 2 gb of system memory. The only
gamming I do is the sims 2. Does home premium require the entire 128 or will
I still be able to run the sims 2 games?

When it says "requires" it means that to drive the glass effects it needs
that amount...

however ALL your programs will run with that 128 mb, even sims2..

so dont worry about that

do yourself a favour and stay as you are, chances are if you upgrade for
these "features" your machine will slow down so badly youll want to go back
to XP

I am assuming that you have 128 meg of video memory and 2 gig of RAM. Is
that correct? If so, you should be fine. Go here for the Sims system
requirements: http://thesims2.ea.com/help/detail.php?help_id=21
