My PC gor really slow after latest update. Anyone experiencing the same
problem?
Similar stuff happened some months ago, and then it seemed to affect
people who had taken some "special security steps" (I don't know more
exactly... on their PC's.
What to do.... just to rollback to before updating maybe...
/Steve

Yep, same thing with me. I've only just reinstalled my system (WXP Pro) and
downloaded 46 updates (after installing SP2) plus about 35MB worth of Office
updates (sigh!), when I noticed it.
I'm hoping someone will identify which update is doing the damage as I
really don't want to uninstall everything again!

Did you do a clean up and defrag after all this?

You really need to identify which specific update is causing this effect, as
many updates can be installed at once.

I've been typing this on my old PC which I keep for backups and "Just in
case's".
I did do defrags and cleanup on the laptop but it seemed the same. I then
went into "Safe mode"and ran some antivirus\Spyware scans which found
nothing.
However, I've just put it back to nomal mode and it's now running ok!!
Maybe giving it a scan is like giving it a kick in the coils!! Makes it pay
attention!
Beats me - anyway, my problem seems to be over (for the moment).

Thanks for your responses.

Well, that's why I posted to this group...
Maybe someone knows if any of those May updates was specially known to
cause troubles. But what the heck, I'll test each kb at a time and wait
some time in between to see when the problems comes.
