I let my computer download/install the latest security updates for windows
xp home and office 2003 pro (all genunine software) today and since then my
computer has become a nightmare.
Some of the issues include.
Browsing:
Inability to open links in a new window (through right clicking on a link)-
a new window opens but comes up blank
Inabiliity to open any link that opens in a new window automatically (there
are many of these on the MS website so I can't even access help on their own
website)
Inability to download files via browser (security settings apparently again,
yet I am not allowed to change them!)
Inability to change internet security level through IE or OE
Inablity to open ANY email attachments (they are not blocked by the outlook
express security settings, i can access the file to save as but it comes up
with a security error if i try to open them - the attachments are defiantely
"safe" files)
I've tried the last restore point on my computer - but i've never ever been
able to get any restore point to work - gotta wonder what's the point of
even having that feature in windows when it never works!
