MBSA claims following rollup or service pack is missing on this machine
KB 951847 - something like .net 3.5sp1 and .net 3.5 update
Also the Microsoft Update is claiming
KB 951847 is missing

I'm sure the .NET component is not installed on this system.
How get I rich from these notifications?
..NET-free windows-based PC is aimed, so please don't suggest
applying this update.

no development decided to remove it. Now I cant firgure out how to stop
updates to the application. Still want to use automatic updates for
everything else.

To avoid confusion, please begin a new thread about your specific problems.
State your IE version and full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP2)
in your first post.

By same boat I meant the same problem and system configuration. Didn't
mention IE 8 however. Figured one answer could kill two birds. Sorry for
the confusion.

MBSA is on error regarding that one. MS knows about the issue since at
least June 2009.

Not really, or are you really talking about MBSA (Microsoft Baseline
Security Analyzer)?

Bye,
