I've had Windows installer hang up for long periods of time. I then
write in my logbook something like "Geez - Windows Installer has
hung up for 15 minutes - time for the power switch." Then I look up
again and the process has just come back to life.
I think it's totally weird, but it has happened to me several times
recently.
So one possibility is to go get another cup of coffee (as if you
need to be even tenser!) and wait a few minutes longer.
Not, Windows Installer isn't MCE's Audio Setup, but I've seen it
with other software too on rare occasions.
I hope this helps (and I don't blame you for any skepticism!).
