Media center cannot play dvd

I this problem occured on my Vista Home Premium machine I think after I
recently played a rental dvd. Before hand though, it has worked with other
rentals and personal dvds for months now. In Media Center, Power DVD, and
Media Player I get an error that says the content is protected (Power DVD) or
cannot play DVD because it's in use by another program or the resolution is
too high. I've had a dual monitor set-up now for some time and never had a
prob. I use DVI connection to my main monitor and an analog VGA connection
to my clone. Any ideas???

This issue could be due to having software like Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools
installed. Any kind of Virtualization software could cause this. the
reason is because of the copyright protection used they don’t allow for the
media to be played with that kind of software installed because it can be
used for other purposes. Such as copying the disc. The way to get around
that is AnyDVD. As for the other error messages that is something else.
The one due to it being sued by another application could be because you
just tried to access it with WMP or PowerDVD. It could be that Windows is
just trying to access it. Best suggestion there. If you just tried in
Media Player then wait a few minutes before trying to access it in another
application. See if that continues as the application might still be in the
Task Manager and not closed out yet when you try to access the file again.

The Resolution is too high. That is a new one. I don’t know what would
cause that.

finally started using Media Center, I ran into this problem.
now, i just have anydvd running and it's all good.
