media center edition update to 2005

hi a couple of weeks ago my computer crashed and I lost everything even the
hotfix for xp med ed. 2002, I have a zune player and can't put it back in
because the update wont install and it keeps giving me an error message that
I need the update which I can't get because I have the xp srv pack 3 can some
one help me please.

I am unsure what update (specifically) you are speaking of. I know some
OEMs did arrange for 'upgrades' from Windows XP Media Center Edition 2002 to
2005 - but I am fairly certain that was a thing from the OEMs - not
Microsoft.

Do you mean your OEM offered this upgrade program, sent you the necessary
media and you have since lost said media? Also - since then you have
formatted and clean-installed your system and since you lost whatever media
they gave you in order to do the update - you cannot do it?

I'm not making myself very clear.I have a zune mp3, my machine is windows xp
media center edition 2002, I need to get the update to 2005 media center
edition in order for my zune player to get the downloads, I can't get the
upgrade because I have the xp svc pk 3,some of the message is. Zune software
can't cont. until youve installed one or more updates required.Current
version of win/media center isnt supported, upgrade your machine to media
center 2005 withupdate 2 or later.

that link doesnt work. I have the zune files downloaded but they are not
working because I cant get the update. I really need some help please if
someone can help
