Media Center Interfering

I bought a Aver Media USB TV tuner for my laptop. I've installed all the
drivers and software. When I open the program it tells me. "Windows Media
Center may cause AVerTV malfunction To terminate ehrecvr service is
recommended!!" I end the task in processes and it came back a few times but
the program still says the same message when I open it again. I read that
media center is integrated with vista premium (which is what i have) but is
there any way to uninstall it? or disable it. Seeing as I don't use it, it's
pointless having it.
