Media Center recording old programs?

OK this is a very strange issue I'm having. I have a fully patched copy of
Vista 32Bit Home Premium SP1, a Hauppauge TV card and use Media Center to
manage and record programs. I have been (annoyingly) finding that MC has been
recording certain (not all) old programs that I have previously scheduled
even though I have no longer got these listed. Some are series recordings,
but others were one-off recordings.

I have checked the schedules that are set up, and have ensured they are not
set up there, but it is really rather annoying to come back and find a movie
recorded for the 6th time despite having no visible schedule for it until it
turns up in the program guide yet again...

I will add that about 3 times I have shut down my PC and on restarting it,
Vista has decided a whole series of drivers are missing and installed them
(network, sound, and my TV card, among others, for no obvious reason - I've
had this setup for over a year now) and every time this happens, I have to
set up the tuner and program guide again within MC - and usually reschedule
all of my series recordings. I would suspect it is related to this but all of
the prior series schedules are still visible and simply need to be deleted
and re-added - the problem ones are either one-offs that had recorded
successfully previously or series' that I has previously cancelled so I am
not sure where these are being stored.

As the problem with the drivers above has resulted in problems being able to
access the correct program guide data when the tuner is set up again, I have
already recreated the xml document under
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\Recording and %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application
Data\Microsoft\Ehome\Recording having stopped the relevant services and
removed the files and the backups, but this didn't resolve the problem, so I
have no idea what else to try.

Any ideas where else Media Center might be getting this erroneous list of
old TV programs would be gratefully appreciated.

Go into the 'Series' section. There you should see shows and movies that
will record when they show up in the guide. You can cancel the ones you
don't want.

Thanks for the reply but I have checked that within Media Center itself.
These are old series' and also individual one-off recordings that are
reappearing even though they were never originally set up as series
recordings. If you mean, however, to check somewhere else (e.g. file system,
registry, etc) do let me know whereabouts to look as this is a real annoyance.
