Media Center update deleted itunes!

I'm running Vista Home Premium. Windows update wanted to install a
"cumulative" update for Media Center. The update installed fine, but when it
restarted, itunes was completely gone, along with all my music files. I
paniced and tried doing a system restore but that made things worse and now
EVERYTHING is gone including all my photos and word documents. I tried
multiple times to undo the system restore. I think the files are still on the
computer since based on the hard drive, but I can't access them. I don't know
what to do...any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Did you figure out how to get your files from Itunes to work on your Vista
system?
I still cannot figure this out and wondered if you might have an answer. How
frustrating!
