media player and dell laptop

I recently purchased a dell inspiron 6000 laptop. I have download some music
into it, and after about 10 sec into the song, wmp locks up and does not
respond, music still plays. I also keep getting a message when I start wmp
that says wmp is already running setup.

I am also having problems with the advanced tagging option on each song (to
rename it). Any idea's????

Can I get a download for wmp 9 for xp anywhere???
