media player/messenger

I know this sounds soooo stupid but why doesnt my windows messenger show the
songs i'm playing on media player? oh and ya i have vista premium

You see that bit at the top of Messenger where you can type your personal
message? If you click next to that you get a drop down menu, where you have
to enable it.
