media player no sound at all

wmp can not play the cd because he can't find the soundfurniture
(no sound at all at no ..apparaat
???
it seems and i heard it from several persons the the new updates give this
problem all of a sudden...

even if i do
config uitvoeren mmsys.cpl ok audio
standaarapparaat there is no standaardapparaat at all....
