When I click the X in the top right of the screen the media player
window closes (not minimises, closes), but the audio keeps playing...

Is this fixable?

Hi,

An updated audio driver may fix this common problem. Otherwise, you will
need to remember to hit the stop playing button prior to closing.

Right-click the Taskbar>Toolbars and uncheck
Windows Media Player.

If after this system is updated to Service Pack 1 you still have this
problem, I'd be very interested in a DMP (debugging file) of the issue.

Zachd,

This reply has nothing to do with this thread. Could you please read
the thread I just posted concerning the Microsoft Fingerprint Reader. Maybe
you can help Microsoft with this issue.
I apologize for butting into this thread. Thank you for your time.

C.B.
