Media Player11 Using Eternal Drive to store media files

If I MOVE not copy all of my music files from C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Documents\My Music to an external hard drive hooked up thru a USB and
in Windows Media Player 11 select from the Library tab (add to Library) then
Manually Add the path to my external drive in this case H:\My Music will
Windows Media Player 11 each time I start it up or make changes continue as
before to automatically up date my music library from H:\My Music or as the
Monitored-Type-Manually Added indicates have to Manually Add any changes to
the Library and or my music files in H:\My Music? I have already found out
the hard way and two weeks to repair the damage to over 400gigs of music that
the external drive must be on when Windows Media Player 11 starts and would
prefer not to go thru that again. I am currently using a Velocity Media PC
with XP Pro Media and 500gig hard drive, the external is a samsung 1tera.
