Hi, Chuck.
Well, my first guess, from the meager clues you've given us, is that your
memory is bad. :>(
My second guess is that we would have a better chance of helping you if you
provided more information. Like the exact verbatim text of the error
message, to start.
How about a step-by-step narrative of what happens just before it shuts
down. What applications are running? You said "regularly"; do you mean
"randomly", with no discernible pattern? Have you run a memory test?
Recently? Which one(s)? How old is the computer? Did this just start
after months or years of normal operations with no hardware changes? How
about the computer's environment: could this be heat-related?
Remember, we can't see your machine. ALL we know about it is what you tell
us. So far, that is practically nothing. You haven't even said which
version of Vista, or if it is 32-bit or 64-bit. Did your computer come with
Vista pre-installed, or did you install it?
