Memory dump not written

Hi,

I experienced some bsod during the last weeks, which I was not able to
investigate... there is no specific driver mentioned in the error
text.

The more strange thing was, that no dump file was written, but the
settings were correct...

Does any of you have a hint for me, why dumps are not written? ... I
have to add, that the blue screen message was, that the dump had been
written.. but I can't find it in the mentioned directories %SystemRoot%
\MEMORY.DMP or %SystemRoot%\Minidump
