I keep getting a pop up that my memory is low, then a bit later i get an
error massage that it is to low, and sometimes it crashes or shuts down. I am
using windows 2000 profesional NT. so how if i can do i increse it. Also i do
not understand computer talk so i need it explained in baby languge

Right click on My Computer. Choose "Properties". How much RAM does it
say you have?

Your question really has nothing to do with Windows Update, which is the
subject of this group, I would suggest reposting to one of the Windows 2k
groups.

How does your problem pertain to Windows Update?

Just had a look and it says i have 260,528KB Ram Does that help?

How do i find the section for low memory then? There were other questions
aboutr low memory where i posted.

Yes, if you're running XP, you need to at least double your RAM,
preferably four times as much. If you don't know how to add RAM, take
your computer to a computer shop and have them install it.

You look for a newsgroup with a name such as "general" or "basic".
The message that you received usually means that your pagefile is too small.
You will need to ask in one of these newsgroups about how to make the
pagefile bigger.
