Message I keep recieving

I have a message from the system tray that comes up 3 to 6 times after
rebooting that states:
'you have files waiting to be burned to disk'. It points to some files on a
small partition of my external terabyte USB hard disk.
Question is since I don't care to back them up is how do I get this message
to keep from coming up.
