Hi, Richard.
Outlook Express has always been a part of Internet Explorer. So we've
always had to use IE's Display Properties and other tools to adjust some
features of OE, such as the GUI and print options. Windows Mail "inherited"
this arrangement. And, despite many other changes, Windows Live Mail still
uses many of the settings from IE. And some settings are "global" and
depend on settings in the Windows Control Panel.
You didn't say if you are running WinXP or Vista or some other Windows. I'm
running Win7 now, so you may not see what I see, but the general idea is the
same. I can right-click on my Desktop, choose Personalize, and make many
changes to the Display from there. Trouble is, there is not always a clear
link between what I want to change and the choices that I see in the Display
screens. This has always been a trial-and-error exercise for me. :>{
Maybe someone here knows specifically which tweak will get the result you
want.
