Messages containing "@hotmail.com" are not received?

Messages containing the text @hotmail.com are getting blocked - to the sender
they look like they are getting sent, but the recipient never gets the
message. The recipient sees that the sender is writing and then no message
is received. Everything else seems to be working as normal and other email
accounts included in messages work fine - @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, etc...

Any idea what is going on?

Well what you're describing is generally what happens when you hit a "blocked word", like

I'm not having any difficulty sending what you're suggesting is blocked though.
