messages missing from inbox

I set up windows live mail desktop to pull e-mails from my optimum online
account via pop3. windows live is pulling the e-mails from optimim online
but they are not appearing in my inbox. I can send e-mails with no problems
but the incoming e-mails are disappearing. Any ideas?

When you say they are disappearing, do you see them once? View | Show Or
Hide. Is Show All Messages checked and nothing else?

Double check your settings with these.
