Greetings Mang,

Yes a few people have been reporting this happening. One thing I'd be particularly
interested in knowing is if this problem started when you installed 2009 or if the problem
existed before?

Additionally, knowing what sort of networking environment you're in (proxy, a standard ISP,
an Internet café, etc.) would be great to know.

Hi Mang,

Got it. If you want you might consider downgrading to Windows Live Messenger 8.5 (2008) as
it would be interesting to see if the problem persisted there.

You can do so by heading over to Add or Remove Programs / Programs and Features, choosing
Windows Live Essentials and uninstalling Messenger from there. You can then download 8.5
from here:

Hi,

If you're receiving this error then you typically need to still uninstall the Live Essentials
from the Add or Remove Programs/Programs and Features in the Control Panel.

If that doesn't work, you may just download and run this following 8.5 Microsoft Installer
(MSI) file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/redir/wlm85.asp

(although 2009 still needs to be uninstalled for this to work).

I'm also having this problem. It is extremely annoying as it fails silently!

I don't remember having this issue with a previous version of MSN.
A similar problem that may or may not be related: When logged in multiple
computers, not all messages appear in the other computer. If I'm logged in
with both Computers A and B and if I type something in computer A, then it is
supposed to the same message appear on the window of computer B. This does
not always happen.

But do note that the messages can fail even if I'm only logged to one
computer. Like I said, the problem might or may not be related.

I'm having this same issue and its so frustrating.

Messages apparently not delivered and I get no error about it either.

I have Vista Ultimate 64 and MSN Version 2009 (Build 14.0.8064.206)
