Since I installed Vista, I am unable to receive messages sent by people
running XP using the old Net Send. Also, they do not receive messages I
send with Msg. Vista machines work fine between them and the XP machines
work fine between them. Just not Vista-XP or XP-Vista.
Anyone have any idea what has to be changed or setup for that to work or is
Vista and XP simply unable to communicate with command line utilities?:-)

Hello,

the so-called Messenger service used to net send messages between Windows computers was disabled and is not included in Vista.

Hope I could help.
Greetings,
