messenger 8.0 beta crashing when minimizing to tray

Every time i minimize the beta version to the system tray, it crashes, saying
Messenger 8.0 BETA has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience. Send Error Report. I have build 8.0.0566.
Running XP Pro; happening in two different machines in two different
networks. Is there a fix?

I've had no crashing so far like this.

Batteries not included. Braincell on vacation.

Video drivers, some other application hooking to the window, etc. Lots of possibilities.
