Aleks,
My father and I have just tried the Beta version and initially we got the
same audio problem has we had with 8.1, so I went into the McAfee virus
protection and disabled the Firewall, Spyware, Virus Protection, SystemGurad
and Script Scanning (basically all of the McAfee stuff) on my system, the XP
system, and we tried again. Without McAfee activated, we had a great video
and audio conversation. Just for the fun of it, we went back to 8.1 without
McAfee and too had good aduio and video. We are going to continue to use the
Beat version. My Father is using Norton and am glad I did not have to walk
him through turning off Norton on his system.
John, you too may want to temporarily disable your Security systems, whom
ever you use, and give it a try. Just make sure you reactivate before
browsing the net.
