Every time I boot up my PC, I get a dialog box that Messenger in
installing. After several seconds it opens as usual. This just started
today. I tried to reinstall Messenger from its web page, but got a message
saying it could not be installed due to an unknown error. I went to the
Control Panel and
repaired the program, but the installation box still appears. Can someone
help, please? Thanks!

I only posted it once to the Office newsgroup, then went to the link you gave
me and posted it again. I thought that's what you told me to do. Sorry

Bobbi

That is correct BUT it is also posted a couple of more times in the Office
newsgroups. Last one at the public.office.misc at 12:45 PM today. Also it is a bit
hard for me to keep track of all postings when I answer about 100-125 per day across
the newsgroups

I'm really sorry if I caused you problems, Peter. I know that you work
really hard to meet the needs of the people who post questions, and I've
received answers that work several times so I do appreciate your work. In
the future I will be more careful to understand where the postings should
really go. I do apologize.
