Messenger 9 beta - Now Playing issue?

I usually use iTunes to listen to music, but ever since I updated to
Messenger 9 beta (build 14.0.5027.908) it is unable to pick up songs that I
listen to via iTunes. It works for Window Media player. I was wondering if
anyone could help me resolve this issue. Thanks!

Thanks Elias,

This issue is already being tracked, you should be able to display what
you're listening to in I-Tunes as well.

I haven't been able to make it work either... is there something else I have
to enable or install?

This issue has been fixed internally and should be resolved in the final
release.
