There should be an option to connect to msn messenger from other ports, or at
least it should use the port 80 like the Google Talk, because worldwide there
is too many people who want to avoid the firewalls that from a legal
perspective, are against to the international right of expression and blocks
the use of your software.

Greetings,

It already does and has since version 3.x.

Messenger tries on port 1863 and failing uses port 80, all outgoing, all tcp.

Both options require 443 (outgoing) to be available for Live ID authentication.
