Messenger doesn't send IM's

I have Windows Live Messenger 8.0, and I can't send messages to some of my
contacts. I can't send anything at all to some, some I can send messages as
long as they're short, some I can send 5 messages or so, and then it will
stop. Sometimes I can send every other message. Every other feature except
sending messages works, and this problem has persisted even if I log off.

I've spoken to many of my friends and many of them have similar issues. All
the other features work: webcam, file transfer, adding, offline messages.
However, the major part of a Messenger is messaging, naturally, and without
that feature, all the features in the world are useless.

Have other uses faced this problem?

Is there a way to fix it?

I have the same problem. You are definately not alone.
Either that, or my friends are ignoring me :-)))
