Can someone please help? I can sign in to the new Windows Live Messenger,
but after 1-30 seconds, it tells me that it has encounted a problem and needs
to close. I have removed it and installed it several times and I've
"repaired" it as well. The information that the technicians of Windows
support is to basically remove and reinstall, but that doesn't work. Is this
happening to anyone else and what can I do? Thanks

Hi I have just downloaded Messenger Live for the second time and have a
similsr problem i.e. When I try to send a photo through sharing folder a
Message comes up saying "Windows has encountered a problem" and then shuts
Messenger down.
Have you found an asnwer yet to yours? I will continue to find an answer and
will let you know if I get anywhere.

Ok. I think I may have a simple solution. I contacted Windows Live
Messenger Support about this issue several times and the wanted me to
uninstall and reinstall the program which I did several times and it never
work, but I think I solved it myself. I have Verizon DSL and for the most
part, I use that browser to surf the internet. For the past week and a half,
I've used Internet Explorer 7 as a browser when I wanted to use the Windows
Live Messenger and I haven't had any problems at all!!! I can leave the Live
Messenger open at night, go to bed and get up to go to work in the morning
and when I get home, it's still open and active. I think it was clashing
with my Verizon browser. I hope this works.

Thanks for that but I only have IE7 but I think you have given me a clue
that it is something on my system and not Live Messenger. Ever onwards!!!
